Social Media Etiquette in 2019 [Infographic]
Social media has changed our everyday interactive behaviors, and new norms have been founded around such practices. Now, it’s not uncommon for people to pause before eating a meal in order to take a photo for Instagram, or to see people holding their phone in their outstretched hand, posing for a selfie in the middle of the street. It’s not even that uncommon these days to see someone talking to their phone screen as they walk by, live-streaming direct to their online audience.
As social media has become more engrained within out everyday process, such behaviors have become more accepted – but just how accepted are they, and what’s considered pushing it in terms of modern social media etiquette?
That’s what the team from influence.co sought to find out in their latest report. Their researchers interviewed 986 people to glean some insights into acceptable, and unacceptable, social practices, which provides an interesting overview of the modern communications landscape.
And while many of the worst offenders are likely what you would expect, there are some important notes for marketers in there. For example – #excessive #hashtag #use is among the most inappropriate social behaviors.
Take note in your planning and approach.
